Old Oak

It can be said that the true love of bees is old, dead trees.  Rescued from a hollow oak on a country lot in Cedar Hill, Texas, Blackland Bees gave this productive colony a new East Dallas home.  Among the foraging grounds of Lower Greenville and Lakewood, these ladies collected a  premium medley of Autumn-rich nectar.  With dark flavors of molasses and hints of caramel, the deep essence of this Fall honey is the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving charcuterie board and a spectacular drizzle as that final step in caramelizing skillet onions.  Try this in any recipe, baked or broiled, and enjoy the best of Fall!
